I've been looking for a big round dining table for our big square dining room, and I think I may have found it. (We're nowhere near ready but you know how I like to plan ahead) Henredon's Warren dining table measures in at 72 inches and doesn't appear to have a leaf, which I like. I also like the simple structure and think the color of wood would work on either a carpet or our dark wood floor. At six feet across I'm betting I could get up to 8 around it comfortably.

Sadly, we don't have a Henredon gallery here anymore. Fuhr's used to have both Henredon and Baker galleries but they're long gone. And while the website directs me to Madden-McFarland or Dillard's I'm doubting either keeps one of these on hand.

You can order Henredon through the Design Center at Nebraska Furniture Mart (if you can stand wading through all the Ashley and La-Z-Boy to get to it), but I miss being able to put my hands on things while I browse.

I do like that table. And I'm like you -- I like to see and touch -- to make sure it is what I want!

Is there a gallery in Dallas or St Louis? Road trip?

You could get 8 around it easily -- heck -- you could probably get 12! I love with a round table you just squeeze another in!

That's a very handsome table. Good choice. And, since it is just part of the planning phase, there's plenty of time to see one in person.

I know what you mean about wanting to see it up close and personal!

love the size of the table and the shape of the legs, but have to be honest...not a fan of the little ball feet. seem a little too small for such a large table. of course that's just my opinion. do love the size, though!! oh man, if i only i had space for a big dining table in this house...

You know, I would call Madden McFarland - I do think they have a pretty well stocked showroom. At the very least you could get a good idea about the finishes.

I think this is simply beautiful. Know what you mean by the hands on. My husband refused to buy chairs he couldn't sit in. Amazing how the world has gotten so much less. I still miss Fuhr's...and for that loss we get NFM. Sighs heard all the way from Lawrence.
