Nothing gets you moving around the house...

...like a pending MLS listing!

Our realtor came by yesterday and we listed our condo. No clue if it'll sell, she's not confident about the market in general or condominiums in particular, but we're giving it a shot. I firmly believe we all end up right where we're supposed to be, if that's somewhere else, great, and if it's here that's fine too.

The bulk of the weekend was spent on little projects and getting some extra stuff out of the house. Remember my den? Everything was pretty much done, but there was nothing on the walls. I had a set of three classical prints from an auction, so I did a quick frame job on them and hung them over the credenza. A stacked arrangement like this really emphasizes the ceiling height and I'm happy with it. We also took out the shaggy area rug to show off the dark-stained floors. Cross your fingers!

David, I have been in my condo five years now, it is perfect for my lifestyle, maybe a home again one day. I love the antique prints, perfect framing!

good luck good luck david! i applaud you -- so difficult at times just to say 'que sera sera' -- and believe in whatever happens is to be. if you move to a house, will be so much easier just to let the dogs out than in a condo going down the stairs or an elevator on those cold winter nights. or even to get two cups of coffee in the morning before having to change out of your pajamas for walk time. btw -- i painted my living room and dining room same buttery summer squash color you have! but yours looks so fantastic.

David, just from these two shots it's clear that you've got GREAT taste! The vignettes are so well edited, I wish I could be so disciplined. Good luck with the process and remember, it only takes one buyer to fall in love with your condo!

Chris you charmer, thank you. But in all honesty there are plenty of less-edited spots in my home. My inability to pass up an interesting accessory is surpassed only by my knack for "clean and serene" home staging. =)

Soodie, while there are a few reasons we'd enjoy a move, dog walking is NUMERO UNO! I've always said I don't miss my yard, I miss my fence.

Are you loving your paint?! Our old place was a similar color, but more saturated. Here we went a big softer, it's Sherwin Williams Restrained Gold.

Glad to see you back, you hadn't posted for a bit and I was concerned.

It is beautiful, David. Such a wonderful place to call home. As I'm sure the next one will be. It is just perfect.
