Alright, that chair I want to recover has turned into those chairs I want to recover. I'm trying not to fill the workshop to the ceiling, but when it's a solid old Drexel lounge chair with klismos-like lines, and you can pick it up for five bucks, I really can't pass that up.

If you do, please post step-by-step instructions.
I have this chair that I love but hate the fabric (the plaid one) and I want to reupholster it in white leather. I think I should take it to a pro but then I would have more money in that chair than makes any kind of sense.
David, I would love to learn, even take a class with you. be sure to go to my site and enter drawing for one of my paintings.....
Hey, lovey. I gave you an award I can't pronounce on my blog. :-)
I did upholstery for two summers during college. If you can sew on a sewing machine, you can upholster.
If you can lay your hands on an industrial machine and an air gun for stapling, you are set and could probably even go into the upholstery business. I bet you could intern/apprentice with an upholsterer, if you offered yourself up as free labor.
P.S. HG, leather really should be handled by a professional upholsterer, one experienced with hide work.
