I've been trying to figure out where to use this, but the coloration is a bit strong for either the living room or our master bedroom. Then it hit me, it's perfectly sized for the family room wall we're planning to mount the tv on, and we'll need a place to stow components. Brett's onboard, I'll be sure to let you know if it comes home with us. It's at a local antique shop that specializes in gorgeous asian things.

What a beautiful piece -- I love Asian things!
Um...furniture envy.
Hope you can make it work. The coloration is a great jumping off point for inspiration.
I do love this piece. Great potential and focal point for the family room!
This is beautiful. A great piece.
Beautiful piece. Did you see the piece I just painted for my living room? Would gladly trade you for this one...oh, that's right you found a spot for it. I'd like to visit that shop.
David - email me. I want to talk to you. decorno at gmail dot com.

Totally off topic: saw your comments at Cote de Texas. Holy hell! I thought your comments were lucid and kind. I know you took anon comments off your blog. I wish everyone would. The escalation of rudeness is kinda' scary. I love a good dustup as anyone, but to do it as an anon is a chickenshit. Happy new year and I hope got that second urn. You urned it today!
Hi HBD! I thought of you Christmas Eve day when I drove up to Lawrence to pick up something for my mom from the EtCetera Shop.
What went down over at Cote de Texas was just insane and I felt like I had to say something.
Joni publishes an amazing blog. Her posts are so thorough and packed with information, I can't tell you how many photos I've snagged from her for my idea files.
I truly enjoy seeing a bit of the lives of people whos blogs I read, and for her to be attacked, and that IS what it was, by people who won't even put their name over their crazy ass ranting...it's just wrong.
I don't allow anonymous comments because like I said when I made the change, I'll never ask that anyone agree with me, but I'll always demand a level playing field.
I disabled the Anon postings for the same reason. Idiots. Easy to hide behind the curtain and attack someone else.
